Back in 2006 I got inspired to write about a topic that wasn’t being discussed much (if ever) in churches across America – at least the churches me and my friends were attending. I was annoyed at the lack of discussion in Christian circles and the secrecy that led to bad places, thoughts, choices, and often times divorce. What began as a mini-series of blog posts on the topic of sex became a blog of its own. While there is plenty to say about sex, I expanded the discussion to love and marriage as well. That’s enough to keep me busy until the return of Christ. 
In 2008 I was forced to step away from that blog for a while and walk through some healing of my own. A miscarriage and the depression that followed, and counseling for childhood sexual abuse pretty much took up my emotional time for most of that year. I blogged here when I could, but my creative spirit was pretty drained. I’m just now setting new writing goals for myself and reading/writing in the blogosphere again. Many of my previous blogging circle have moved on and we now keep in touch on Facebook.
It’s been 3 years, and there have been many, many signs that it is time to return to the SLaM blog, but I’ve resisted, until now. I’m returning to it a different person, and with new material due to the boom in books and other blogs on the subject. If you’ve never visited that blog, please stop by and read up in the archives. I’ve tackled some tough subject matter. I don’t claim to be the authority on these things, just a woman with a lot of experience (pun intended) and a heart for those who have a hard time being open and honest about all things sex, love, and marriage. The blog is getting a new look over the next few weeks, but will have new posts again in May. Everything is still there. Read and comment on…
