My family.
Curling up on the couch with a cup of chai or tea in one hand and a good book in the other.
Getting lost in the music.
Turning to a new page in my sketchbook and pulling out my Sharpies. Oh the possibilities!
Playing my guitar.
Cutting out comic strips from the Sunday paper and sending them to friends who live far away.
Organizing and rearranging my space, and I do it often.
Running my fingers along the spines of a row of books at the bookstore, marveling at the hours that were spent agonizing over word choices, the editing process, and the joy the author felt when they saw their name on the cover for the first time.
Meeting friends at Starbucks for Chai, scones, and laughter.
Blogging and Facebooking.
Sausage pizza from Il Vicinos.
Collecting quotes that inspire me.
Green and Pink.
Reconnecting with old friends.
The smell of the air after it rains – which it rarely does in Colorado.
Going to the movies by myself.
Dreaming up new tattoo designs.
Pens. It has to feel good in my hand, be a color or design that makes me smile, and the bolder the line, the better.
Challenging people’s assumptions of what a believer looks, thinks, and acts like.
The idea of writing a letter. The task seems so daunting sometimes because my letters tend to be looooong.
Heart shaped rocks.
I’ll keep adding to this list as I think of new things…
